I was invited to attend the spottersday that organised through Aviation Group Leeuwarden (AGL) and the Dutch Air Force (Koninklijke Luchtmacht).
Arrivals and rehearsals kept us busy for the day. Shortly before 4 o'clock the Patrouille Suisse started their rehearsal. Since we had to leave the base at 4 o'clock we didn't saw the crash by one the jets. Luckily the pilot could eject in time and the crashed jet didn't made any fatalities on the ground. The second damaged jet was able to land safely back at Leeuwarden.
