Military Jets Photography: 2012 03 30 End of an era

On Friday the 30th March 2012, BA103 has closed it's doors, facing defense department restructurations, with a big Fly-Out Ceremony.
"La Escadron de Chasse 1/12 Cambresis" consists of 3 flights: SPA 166 'Tarn', SPA 89 'Guepes' and SPA 162 'Tiger'. The latter being one of the founders of the NATO Tiger Meet as one of three participants to the first meeting in 1961. The Tiger Spirit will ke bept alive at "Escadron de Chasse 1/7", based at St. Dizier-Robinson.Only a few participants of the French and Foreign Air Forces had arrived, to join the Final Fly Out Ceremony, which was highlighted by a 4-ship Mirage 2000C flight. Two of them, aircraft 88/ 103-KV and 85/ 103-LK have received a special coloured tail, to remember EC01.012 and EC02.012, a third one, Mirage 2000C 103/ 103-YN, has received a full special painting due to 60 years of EC1/12. Unfortunately only two of them participated in the Fly-By. The third one, Mirage 2000C, 88/ 103-KV had been parked in the shelter area, together with Rafale C, 104/ 113-HH, which had received a special coloured SPA162 tail.
Visitors included a German Tornado, Czech Gripen, Italian Typhoons and a Belgian F-16. Unfortunately only the German Tonrado could be easily photographed from outside during a short period of sunshine.
