2008 09 16 Spotting at ETAD

Spangdahlem is home of the 52d Fighter Wing, which maintains, deploys and employs Lockheed Martin Block 50 F-16CJ and Republic A/OA-10 aircraft and TPS-75 radar systems in support of NATO and the national defense directives. 22d and 23d Fighter Squadron fly on the F-16CJ while 81st Fighter Squadron flies on the A-10.
During my visit there was a tempory deployment of eight Tornado's and eight AMX of the Italian air force.
