On Tuesday 5th April 2016, the first edition of the Belgian Air Force Sunset Shoot was organised by the Belgian Air Force. The event took place at the air base of Beauvechain.
Almost every type of aircraft of the BAF was present in Beauvechain. Both versions of the Caïman NH-90 helicopter (NFH & TTH), a C-130, an Alpha Jet, a F-16, two A-109 Agusta helicopters, an Embraer (ERJ-135), 4 SF.260 Marchetti's and the helicopter of the Federal Police, the MD-902.
The different aircrafts were spread over the terrain so every photographer had the chance to take his favourite picture.
Later on, when the sun was totally gone the first aircrafts were starting up again to return to their home bases. The NH-90NFH took off to Koksijde. After that, it was time for the C-130 and MD-902 to return to Melsbroek.
I would like to thank the Belgian Air Force for making this event possible. It was the first edition of the Sunset Shoot anit was a succes! Even after the tragic events in Brussel a few weeks ago it was great to see this level of support by the Air Force.
