2005 09 16 Twilight show at NAS Oceana Airshow

At 5o'clock on Friday 16 September the gates of NAS Oceana were open to the public for the Twilight Show. We entered the show via the famous Tomcat Boulevard were we had a quick glimp of the Memorial Park. Here you can see all the jets that have been stationed at NAS Oceana.
Altough the gates were just open the flying display started also at 5o'clock which let us to miss the Hornet demo. Other performers were the Showcopters, a F4U Corsair, the USAF Heritage flight which consisted of a F-16C, QF-4E and 2 Sabres, and parachute jumps by the U.S. Army Special Operations Command Black Daggers, Canadian Skyhawks and British Red Devils. Performing a Jet Assisted Take- Off (JATO) was the Blue Angels C-130 Hercules “Fat Albert”. The big final was Shockwave Jet Truck with three jet engines doing a 350MPH run in front of the Wall of Fire. Once the flying display was finished there was a huge fireworks.
